Brown Bear Kamchatka Good Opportunity

The operator I work with in Kamchatka has a very good area for big bears and shoots 9' bears fairly consistently. He does shoot a few 10 footers each year but a real 10 foot bear anywhere is a giant and not lurking behind every bush. Given that there has been no bear hunting for the last two seasons, the expectation is that Spring - May 2022 will be an especially good year for a chance at a big bear. This is a unique opportunity that Covid has created!

Price: - US$12,800 plus US $2,700 trophy fee upon harvest, second bear (when available) US$6,000. 1x1 - 8 hunting days.

* Please note that there maybe a small variation in price as the helicopter flight is included and the cost of that is unknown at the moment thanks due to the Covid situation! I am told if there is a change it maybe a few hundred dollars at the most.

Price Includes:
• Invitation for visa
• Rifle permits
• Transport to and from camp (includes Helicopter)
• Guides and interpreter
• Hunting license
• Field preparation of trophies
• Accommodation (warm cabins & tents) and meals

Price Excludes:
• Transfers in Moscow between hotel and airport if required
• CITES permit US$200
• Hotel accommodation before and after the hunt including meals
• Alcoholic drinks in camp
• Shipping of trophies and taxidermy work
• Tips
• Personal items and travel insurance

Hunting Area: Elisovsky, Ust- Bolsheretsk, Tigil Region
Hunt Dates: - April 23rd to May 15th (these are approximate, will be finalised closer the time)
Group Size: - 3 – 5 hunters in each camp

Typical Itinerary:
Day 1: - Arrive in Petropavlovsk, from Moscow meet and greet by representative from
hunting organization, clear customs and firearms. Transport to Esso village for overnight stay
in hotel.
Day 2: - Transport to hunting camp by helicopter (1 to 1.5 hours depending on camp used)
Day 3 to Day 11: - Bear hunting.
Day 12: - Transfer to Esso by helicopter overnight in hotel.
Day 13: - Transfer to Petropavlovsk overnight in hotel.
Day 14: - Depart Petropavlovsk for Moscow

* The outfitters representative will also be on hand in Moscow to help clearing rifles, etc.

Look forward to any enquiries.

Yes, the observer fees is generally quite high as they will tie up a snow mobile. Unlike in AK you do not drive your own snow mobile, but are pulled around in a sled.

We still have some openings for May 2022. Great opportunity to target some big bears as hunting has been closed for the last 2 years, thanks to Covid.

This is as good as it gets unless the Chinese unleash another plague!!
