I had a really rough week. Then, to top it off, had to do a 24 hr shift on Friday, followed up with going back in Saturday night. Really needed to de-stress.
So Sunday, headed to Edna with my pole and some frozen shrimp from Academy.
Something kept eating my bait off the hook.
Then, finally, after two hours, I hooked something. He was a beautiful large flounder. I brought him up out of the water and said, "Oh... a flounder!!" and as I was finishing the word, flounder, he gave a strong jerk and unhooked himself and fell back in the water.
I think he shot me the bird as he fell back in. Didn't get another nibble.
What a way to end a crap week.

Fishing helps me relax after a tough day. I try to fish an hour or two most every day the weather is decent. I am fortunate to have several places twenty minutes or less from the house to wet a line.
