My Eagle 9000 is ready for retirement....it has served me well for 20 years but parts are no longer available

I'm thinking something showing depth to several hundred feet plus GPS and would like to install a chip with a specific area (or lake) such that the GPS can show me where I am on that specific area/lake

I'm quite partial to Lowrance as My Eagle 9000 was/is a fine and long lived tool

Recommendations please.....and yes...under a grand please

Vapodog,

The Lowrance HDS7 base map model is $999, has GPS, and you can load map chips of your choosing. It's s good unit.

Hey....thanks....but I'm interested in the chips....where do I get them and are they available by region or by lake....

I think everything I want to know is out there.....maybe I'm just asking the wrong question...

My Lowrance came with maps for a considerable number of lakes installed. They are not extremely accurate but I use them and am generally satisfied. Additional, more detailed maps are available. Try Cabelas or BassPro.

When he said fishing electronics, my redneck mind started churning. I got tired of a battery and went with a hand crank generator. I have often wondered what a yamaha generator doSmiler
