Had a little Martini Cadet in 17AH for some years but difficult and time consuming loading with only an old set of 'vice type' dies.

I looked at buying proper reloading dies but the price $AU275, was too much given the small number of times that I wanted to use it.

Recently, I spied a set of Hornady 17 Hornet dies in the LGS 'bargin box' for $AU40. The big difference between the two rounds is the 40deg shoulder of the AH compared to the 30deg shoulder of the Hornady.

Provided you back off the FLS die so it does not size the sharper shoulder, the dies are perfect for forming and loading the AH.

Hold still varmint; while I plugs yer!
If'n I miss, our band of 45/70 brothers, will fill yer full of lead!
