I recently bought a Crossman Quest 1000 .177 caliber air rifle, and today I set up my old Oehler Model 12 Chronograph to see what it would do.

Gamo 7.56 gr. Match pellets gave a velocity of 858 fps. Gamo Power Pellet (about 5.3 gr.) gave an average velocity of 1044 fps.

I also tested a Daisy Model 131 break barrel .177 with the same pellets, and got velocitys of 582 (Gamo Match) and 703 fps for the Gamo Power Pellets.

Both of these shoot quite well for relative inexpensive air rifles. They are a great way to keep the shooting skills in tune between hunting seasons.
