Duane Wiebe uses linseed oil of some form. He has detailed his methods in these pages before.

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

Heym,
Good read, very interesting, I love to use a new recipe, been doing just that for years, they are all great to good enough, and the application is the secret to any gunstock finish..just be careful and be sure the combo you use interlocks with the mixtures is the key..I have liked them all so far, that tells me something, there is no voodoo instock finishes..

So, dpcd, what is your choice(s) for a good . . . great stock finish?

Yes, in the big picture, this is introducing thread drift!
