Looking for some advice on a projectile for Roos. I'm guessing something reasonably explosive. How would the 95gr V Max work or what other suggestions?

Cheers,

Mike.

Yes, ditto that. As soft as you can get them. Maybe the TNT range if you can get them. A friend is a farmer in central QLD who has to do a lot of roo control. He made up a 6.5 but gave up on it because he found the 6.5 bullets too hard for roo's. He uses mostly 222 and a little 6mm.

A cousin living out there uses a 6x45 (223 necked up to 6mm) and Sierra game king bullets drops Roos like flies

Speer TNT or hollow points are ideal.

the 95gr V Max

G'Day Fella's,

Kiwiwildcat, the 95gr V Max are a great choice!
I have a couple of mates with .260 Rems and that's ALL they use thru these rifles.
I've seen them fold Skippy's up real well, at some long ranges (400 ish meters).

Hope that helps
