Check on Blade Forums. It's out there A few years ago I heard some electricians talk about dismanteling electrical equipment but they had sense enough to save the old Micarta !

Fiddleback forge uses yellow burlap micarta from some company. It’s really cool stuff.

The black ash burl is one of my knives , very nice
The micarta comes in various colors . Some of it is not old ! I had seen articles about Micarta but I don't remember where .

IF you can find any of the old Westinghouse Micarta you're going to discover it's pretty expensive.
