Looking at all the project guns got me itchy. I took the sights off the Spanish Mauser today. I have an old CZ stock I am going to try something with. This stock has already been done and is not that bad. But I have an idea I want to try. I am sure once all the metal work is done I will buy a stock but it's play time. Guess I will add pics as the project unfolds. Here is the start photo.

I just built this one. I got tired of using the same bench to reload and work on and clean guns. This one is in what is being turned into my den. Right now I think it is a mess. Still need cabinets and the trim put around the steel base, Been on sick and disability for 2 months so money is tight and Oak is not cheap. I go back to work in a month so I hope through the winter I can pick away at it.

Don

Don't do it. Once you get started on custom guns it doesn't take long before it becomes a sickness that is very difficult to overcome.

Oh I am past that! I have an old SxS shotgun I had custom stocked in curly maple years ago. Then I had a custom stock put on my .300 mag. Then 3 years ago I built a .257AI and last year I built a .308. Plus I have built 9 custom flintlocks.I already have the sickness!
