I've had this 8mm Yugo Mauser for a while.
Sloppy foam stock,
cheap 30mm red dot.
I rust blued it many years ago.
Stock needs a paint job :-)

I'm gonna reload some 200gr Speers for it for the weekend.

rich, we aren't too far apart. Mine is a cut down Chilean 7X57 with a 2X Tasco pistol scope. I just filed down the rear sight base and soldered a flat bar inside it to drill and tap for a Weaver base. The Tasco has a dot reticle. All you have to do is swing the rifle on a running deer and wait for the dot to catch up with it's chest. So far, I am 6 for 6 on whiteltails, all one shot kills, all running. This is my deer drive rifle. I use only 175 gr Hornady RNs in it.

Ha.. that's great.

I tried it this weekend, couldn't see the dot at the range. it originally had a 2.5-6x bushnell.
