Anyone know if Hawk Bullets is still in business? Their website is operational, but I get no response to a bullet order.
Thanks,
Roger

If anyone finds out let me know, I could use some 38-40s..Hawke makes great bullets for the old calibers like the 44-40, 38-40, 38-55 etc..can't say much for their big game high velocity bullets that tend to come apart..

Hawk hasn't responded to any email I have sent over several years nor have they either answered the phone or called back. I just gave up on them.

I just received a reply from Andrew at Hawk.

quote:
Rusty; We are running two shifts and have almost no inventory. We are taking back orders if it is out of stock and that is the best way to make sure that you have the bullet you want for hunting season. When we ship back orders the people call in and wipe out the inventory we just made.

Good Shooting

Hope this helps. I have always had good dealings with Hawk. They are just like everyone else, swamped!

In case you just arrived from Mars, Everything related to the shooting sports is now being bought up and Hoarded by those who really don't need the stuff.
I have friends who are doing what Andrew said; people are guying everything they can find; it will make good trading stock later when the dems ban everything. This is artificially driven demand.
This phenomenon is real, and not good for the industry. It is caused by democrats being in power, and all their talk about banning and controlling.
Politica? YES; that is driving all this artificial demand.
Don't like it? NO one does. But it happens every time dems get the White House or congress. Every time; been following it since Kennedy administration.
