I used to just call them cats as described by cat terminology. But in keeping with the latest specialist trends, perhaps started by Mr. Derf's ranch cougar, I now think of them in equivalents to the true wild cats, as porch panther's(black), lap lynxs(barred), landfill panthers(mixed, scruffy), etc., essentially the reverse of the "bambi" process.
