The ultimate trophy! I would have very mixed emotions shooting one like that though......I wonder what the age would be!

I agree with Arjun. Great trophy, it's already probably contributed to the gene pool on numerous occasions, but it's also ammo for the antis.

Having already bred and the fact that it would probably be taken by a poacher if not a hunter will mean nothing to them.

My 2 cents. Good trophy though!

Wow , fantastic bull.
The tusks are "mammoth" like, excuse the pun.

Wondering of the length and circum. At the lip. Looks thin but super long.

I'm guessing at the lack of circumference at the lip. The tusks seem to be a consistent diameter versus a strong taper from lip to end. Be interested to hear his response.

Distorted or not that is some serious ivory - the length and the way it carries could very well substantiate the weight.

I hunted few days ago in the same area, so I saw that ele. It is absolutely elephant of the dream, but definitely not a 100 lbs. As we discussed it must be not less 70-75 for sure.

Congrats to hunter. And best luck on lion! Wink

Holy smoke, what a tremendous bull, regardless of the weight. Congrats to hunter and PH. I don't understand people putting down a set of ivory like that.

Yeah, I had a great safari (2 buff and PG).

I've just got message from Werner. Tusks were measured as 36 and 35 kilo, which is 79 and 77 lbs. Amazing!
