Lorenzo: these days something completely unusual happens that forbids hunting trips from Buenos Aires: there is an incredible mist that makes the roads very dangerous. Also, May was the coldest month in 50 years. When Afrikaander learnt that in Victorica there were -15º Celsius, he put a blind in the roof of his house. And I had to cut a programmed hunt in a very good ranch. Well, next time...Two lucky guys got there hogs with tusks in the 9 and 10 centimeters out of the lip range. Mad

Lorenzo. Not Argentina or Uruguay, but we have been hunting. My two grandsons are with me this week at my home in the mountains. We have been out predator calling. We came upon a black bear feeding on a fresh kill, and saw many elk and mule deer. Last Monday, Sonny shot a coyote - his first, and then yesterday, Sam shot a coyote, his first as well. thumb

Well, nice to see some of you are still kicking around !!! Big Grin

Hey Jim, How are you doing??

I have post pictures and a complete report of last week hunt in the Medium Caliber Forum but what the hell...here it goes again, an axis deer and a pig I shot with my 9,3x62 using the Barnes 250gr TSX that Jim (Cropduster) brought me. You can also see the big sow I shot one hour later hanging behind me.

I am going again next tuesday thumb
Scruffy, I promise I will leave some for you. Big Grin

Yo, Lorenzo !! I'll always remember you fellows introducing yourselves to the African land owner as, 'The Uruguayan Poachers' ... Ha! Ha! He turned pale !! Big Grin What wonderful trophies you bagged there, Amigo ! The closest that I have come to bagging an axis deer has been scaring a fox !! Smiler

Congrats Lorenzo, that axis is a beauty. In fact, any axis hunted is a well deserved trophy, at least in our side. It uses to be one of the most difficult hunts this side of the Rio de la Plata.

Hmm, axis are tasty, and very common in the TX Hill Country...Oh, and off-topic, but no, not Bluebell -- just a little tiny company of my brother and I's in South Carolina

Congratulations on a beautiful buck. The two hogs made it quite a good hunt. Tell your brother in law that I need to hunt Uruguay as well. And he can keep the meat. thumb
