Things to hunt/fish in Argentina in various times of the years
I'd love to make it down in May or June, but the odds are looking slim. Is there any decent fishing/hunting in December?

Agilifter: I´m no angler but in December there is all the sea fishing, trout and dorado as well as many others. Regarding hunting you may have boars, water buffaloes and the exotic rams, blackbuck, goats, etc. In some areas there is unlimited dove and duck shooting also.

Fallow Buck
Naintal,

What are the Exotic rams you mention? Are they Free ranging?

I heard somewhere that there are wild Mouflon in Argentina. Is this true or is my mind playing tricks?

Best regards,

Fallow Buck: I don´t know if some of the exotics (for instance the mouflons or the multihorned rams) could have escaped the estancias and gone wild in the hills or the thorn woods in La Pampa. For sure, in the Cura Malal and Ventana ranges there are groups of fallow deer and wild domestic goats (capra hispanicus) and they offer magnificent trophies, that being a most difficult hunt at high altitude in the South of Buenos Aires Province. Some 30 years ago I used to hunt there, but unfortunately I´m not able to do so anymore thus I don´t know the present condition of these beasts. Nowadays there are several hunting ranches, of course, which offer these animals and many others.
