billrquimbyJoe was my friend and the host for my only trip to his country. When I brought my then 22-year-old granddaughter, he found another girl of her age to be her companion and our guide during our stay in Buenos Aires.
I first met him at an SCI convention when he discussed plans to launch an SCI chapter in Argentina. He also asked for advice on the chapter's magazine, Safari Sur. Later, I helped him get his memoirs published.
He was a controversial man, but I am convinced that he loved his country and did nothing except what he believed was best for it. I pray that he will rest in peace, and that history will prove he was right.
I would appreciate it if someone who knows his family would please present my condolences to them.

BlacktailerWhat a shame. Mrs Blacktailer and I met him at SCI several years ago. He introduced us to Lilliana at Algar for our first hunt in Argentina. He seemed like a very nice man.
