GatogordoI really like Lorenzo and miss his posts about his hunting and his wonderful country of Uruguay often. However, the fact is, he got his panties in a wad when in his panic for his lost friend, he posted a prayer request in the African Hunting forum as well as in the South American forum. Not surprisingly, the African forum one got moved by one of the moderators. He got mad while still worried about his friend, when, in fact, he was wrong, not a major big deal wrong but wrong, nonetheless. He should man up, unwad his panties and come back and visit with his many friends here. Abrazos, amigo.

billrquimbyIs there someone who speaks with him regularly, or has occasion to telephone him? I suspect that he remains so pissed off that he has stopped opening this forum altogether. Unless someone communicates directly with him, he may never know just how many long-distance friends he has made here. As do all of you, I respect and miss his calm wisdom and knowledge of wildlife matters.

scruffyLorenzo is one of the finest people that I have ever met in my entire life ... in fact I have been honoured to have hunted and visited with him in Namibia, Uruguay, and Argentina and hopefully will do it again .. sooner than later. I also agree 100% with the way he feels and when some guy starts talking about 'panties' ... I personally find that totally offensive !!! Absolutely no class at all !!!

You need to unwad your panties too! It's an expression, get over it.
BTW if you so agree with him, why are you still posting on AR?

scruffyGatogordo .... You have made quite an impression on me.
10 January 2011, 18:48
GatogordoThat's what they make the ignore button for.
Let me review for you:
Lorenzo in his panic for his lost friend posts two threads asking for prayers. The one he posts in the African Hunting forum (which post has absolutely nothing to do with Africa or hunting) gets moved and he gets his nose out of joint (to use a metaphor you might find less disagreeable) and says he's gone from AR. Well, I like him and I miss him, but he should understand that it was 100% his problem and his decision to leave based on entirely reasonable actions of the AR moderators (and I'm definitely not one and definitely don't agree with all of thier actions). Hopefully he will come back to AR and visit with his friends here again. If not, then he's not as much of a man as I thought he was.
Meanwhile, I repeat, if you "100% agree with the way he feels" then you need to retire from this scene as well. Or maybe it's not 100%?

I do not know Lorenzo personally, but I do 'know' him from AR postings, PM's and direct e-mail exchanges as a very generous donor and absolute gentleman.
In good hunting.
