ChiefR53Shotshell shortage
I have been told the government has nationalized the ammunition industry, is prioritizing military ammunition, and no allocation is being made for shotshell production.
Any truth to this from those in the know?

eagle27You've posted in the South American Big Game Hunting page, where are you talking about with that question?
Would be pretty serious if talking about the US if that was the case.

DCS MemberThere was a slowdown/shortage due to the shifting of production during the pandemic. With the volume of shells used, it’s hard to shift focus ramp up the lines (although it makes business sense to hurry up). The government also kept changing the date when Argentina would open to foreign tourism.
Some outfitters have experienced problems, but we have been alright.
However, as said, the government did not take over.

LamarArgentine has been importing metallic primers into the U.S recently.
I doubt their government would be doing that if they needed them for small arms munitions production.
