I had this drink in Zimbabwe last week and it is great;

In Blender,
5 oz.vanilla ice cream (about 1 large scoop)

1 1/2 oz. heavy cream, cold

2 Shots of Amarula cream liqueur

cocoa powder or chocolate shavings, to garnish.

To Kick it up a notch add a teaspoon of Scotch.


AMARULA CREAM is made from the fruit of the Marula tree, that's found in South Africa. The fruit is fermented into a wine that's aged in oak barrels for 2 yrs. It's then mixed with fresh cream.
