If you like sweetened hot Spearmint tea like I do, you may like this.
Pure spearmint tea bags.
Cane sugar.
Some half and half cream.
About a quarter to a half ounce of Fireball cinnamon whiskey.

The English didn’t do a proper job on you then?

Michael RobinsonNo, I'm 100% American on that score. I have always preferred coffee.
Although I do like your Arabic coffee just as much as "Americano." A twist of lemon cuts the bitterness just right.
My grandfather was a big tea drinker. His mother and his wife, my grandmother, were both Irish, so tea was all he ever got!

customboltCoffee is my go to hot drink as well. Tea has to be mint tea with sugar and some half and half cream. The local grocery specialty sells a peppermint and spearmint blend. Got me spoiled. The other teas are boring. Grew up with wild mint tea we picked from a meadow 2 miles from our home.

lavacaI only rarely drink coffee but do like a cup of tea in the morning. I don't take sugar or milk/cream in it.
One of my favorite things on safari is the camp toto walking down the path to the door before daylight saying "Hodi" , bringing my tea and taking my rifles and kit to the gari.
Tea is meant to be steeped in hot water, sweetened with "pure cane sugar" and poured over ice!!!!!
Preferably Louisian......
