Old Caneanybody grind meat in a vita-mixer?
I have one and I know it can be done, just never used it for that before. If anybody has, do you have any tips?

GatogordoThe problem with using the vita-mixer is that it is not powerful enough to grind meat on a regular basis unless you really cut it up into fine pieces. If you do it very much, you will almost certainly end up by burning the motor up. If you just need to grind a bit of meat occasionally, get a hand grinder, you can often find them cheap at garage/estate sales. I suspect if you keep using your vita-mixer it will crater on you.

Old CaneWell, maybe so. I contacted the company and they have it as a regular item in their manual. They told me how to do it with no warning. I have several hand gringers. Just trying to do it an easier way.

GatogordoThey're in the business of selling them, not making them last. None of my concern, I'm just telling you what many people who've been down the same path have discovered.
