KenscoCooking With Aluminum Foil
The findings here say we should cut back on the use of foil when cooking.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/healt...kt5R&ocid=spartanntpI know there is an alternative to foil when smoking meat. I personally have never used butcher paper, and wouldn't even know where to get any. I will probably stick with foil.

GatogordoI'm sure I am not smart enough or knowledgeable enough to know how accurate the articles assessment of dangers is, but I'd be interested in who paid for and who benefited from reseach. In addition, hardly a world class Univ. was cited:
"According to the 2014 Webometrics World Universities rankings (aimed to promote Web publication, not to rank institutions), Ain Shams University is ranked 12th in Egypt, 45th in Arab World and 51st in Africa."
I'm not disagreeing, but at my age, I don't think aluminum foil leeching is going to be what gets me.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.
"Associated with " does not necessarily means "caused by " .So many don't understand that comment .This whole subject was thoroughly studied some years back. The causation was never found. Anyway if you are paranoid ,you can buy stainless steel foil easily.
Best metals to cook in are cast iron [the seasoning process forms a polymer for your info !!] Stainless steel , and titanium.
I couldn't count how much tomato sauce was cooked in aluminum pots over the years. Wrap it in mud, leaves, salt, and other things , and build a fire over it . The choice is yours !

I'll vote for cast iron, but some of the pots are getting a bit heavy for my wife to handle.

TCLouisGood . . .Bad . . .Right . . .Wrong . .
Makes no difference to me since all we have that I use is cast iron or Stainless steel (pre-china production).
All sorts of science and pseudo science out there, but I think Atkinson has the key . . .
Eat in moderation and do some physical exercise/hard work.
