Raider2k3Cranberry Sauce
Cranberry Sauce
From the Kitchen of Barbara Jean
Ingredients
• 1 bag of fresh cranberries
• ¾ cup water
• 1 cup sugar
• ¼ cup orange juice
• 2 tsp. orange zest
1) Wash cranberries and throw away any unworthy berries. (Hard = sweet / Soft = bitter)
2) Bring water, orange juice, and sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan and stir to dissolve the sugar. Be careful not to let mixture boil over because it will make a sticky mess.
3) Add cranberries and zest. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 10 - 15 minutes or until the sauce thickens slightly.
4) Remove from heat and place in a bowl.
5) Chill sauce and it will thicken as it gets colder.

Raider2k3Just had this for the first time Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit. My wife has said it will be a staple from now on. An added plus is how easy it was to make.
