TomPRe: Anyone drink wine (especially with game)?
North Carolina specialty is catawba wine, maybe? I remember trying some of it at a place in the western part of the state and not liking it particularly. We usually get a merlot or a cabernet for game. A frequent recipe is chunks wrapped in bacon strips, grilled until the bacon is cooked. Trader Joe's is a good place to get wine, here.

C1PNRI, too, like the Merlot. Also like a Syrah or Shiraz (sp). All of them are good with Venison and Elk, especially that done on the BBQ.
