customboltFoodie trip report New York City.
I'm a hunter and my Wife & I like to splurge once in a while. So, here we go -----
Besides finding two great places for breakfast on this short trip, This one is now on our short list for dry-aged prime steak which is made over a hickory wood fire. It is the best filet mignon we ever had and the taste of the wood shines through with no bark after taste. Score a full 10. Best score for others 9. One steak this trip was terrible as they gave us a tough round steak at a Tai place that said it was a Delmonico. Gave their dish a 3. Any way. Here's a clip of "Gallaghers Steak House" (Hell's Kitchen) lunch menu. The staff was professional and kindly cared for us. That's more than I can say for another previous 'favorite steak' house where the waiters were stuffy and borderline rude and my steak was bloody when I order it medium.

HipshootNext trip just tell everyone that you are an immigrant and Mayor Adams will feed you for free, give you spending money, clothe you and put you up in NYCs very best hotels all at the tax payers expense and let you and your gangs run wild committing all sorts of crimes in the streets of Time Square and other places.

customboltHah! Ah... Manhattan looks the same as it has the
the 3 visits we had over the last 10 years. Still clean, cops all over and only one homeless hiding behind a trash receptacle. At least for 3 blocks wide from 42nd and times sqare up to 51st street.

Bill/OregonThat menu looks wonderful, and the price seems incredibly reasonable. Sometimes I wish I liked big metro areas but I really don't.

customboltYes. It was resonable. Next time we go I'm getting a full delmonico there. Generally I don't like big city either. But, NYC is OK and the train station is only 20 minutes from here. Cab rides run $20 to the places we go. No more winter visits for me though. It was brutal up there with that cold wind going between those tall buildings. Having a nasty cold didn't help much.
Dallas was clean too. Just not nearly as many restaurants. They are everywhere up there. Bars too. But, we didn't take the time to stop at any bars.
