JIm YackleySteak in Scotland
Just returned from a 10 day trip to Scotland. Had steak on four occasions, all were a disappointment. Tough, no flavor and over cooked. One was advertised as being dry aged for 21 days, meat had no flavor. I saw many fat sleek cattle all eating grass. If any of those cattle had every eaten a mouth full of corn, the outcome would have been better. OTOH the Scots know how to cook fish.

coniferScottish kippers = HEAVEN. Salmon = fabulous....little hotel in Evanton ...ancient, huge flatware and magnificent china on table. I had roast duck in Ayr....raw with feather clumps, best are the pub lunches in small towns.
