One of the best edible fungi out there. There are a few species/forms. This is H. erinaceous and the only species of them that I have ever found on my property.

These can also be cultivated. They are well known for medicinal use as well.

Not sure what I will do with it yet but will visit my freezer for something tasty to grill tonight. I will slice and dry fry then butter.
