question about Remington primers

I see lots of recipes calling for Rem 209 P

Is this the same as Remington Premier,STS primers?.....also labeled as 209PSTS

I think that it is more or less the same primer, but that is what they called it before they started making the STS. Supposedly they made some small changes (like smaller flash hole) and claimed that the STS could be substituted for the 209 P but not vice versa.
