Anyone with a Studebaker pickup?
I have longed for a red Studebaker for many years now. Any of the gang here have one?

I love the Hudson. You might contact Frank Milsap the owner of Sachse Rod Shop.Frank loves the Studebaker pickups. He is building another for himself at this time. Frank is a retired horticulture professor. He teaches street rod building for the Dallas Community College District.

If you go to the website and click on Frank's 48Stude sedan you will get a step by step photo of his complete build. It will be a big block street rod. The modified body shell will be Studebaker, but the rest is all hand fabricated.
I asked Frank one day how an old county agent, flower grower got into the street rod business. He just grinned.

Have known a few. One was original, not so impressive though heavy metal.

One was modded with modern drivetrain via Ford 302. Good rig.

One was full Pinto inside. Strangely was the finest of the bunch. Fit what a good heavy truck should. Simple, economical, surprisingly capable, and super dependable.

My Father had a yellow '49 Studebaker PU that was his pay for a set of kitchen cabinets he made for someone on the other side of the tracks.
