Didn't realize it was your car Russ. I'm not currently in the market ... seriously, but I do always like to keep up on what's available.

I had a 599 a few years back but the paddle shift thing just didn't do it for me. Driving a 2002 Viper currently and I'm still pretty much attached to it.

Next time I get into a Ferrari, it's going to be an older one with the gated shifter. I don't care that the newer models are faster. I like the for the aesthetic and historic value as much as anything, not a few tenths of a second shaved off the track.

A 328 would be just the ticket I should think.

The 328, especially the 88.5 model, is the "thinking man's Ferrari" ... has most all of the bugs worked out and more power vs the 308, and does not have the problematic ABS that the later cars had. Belt service can be done with motor in the car. And the styling, to my eye, is the pinnacle of Pininfarina's work.

‘85 308GTS QV here.....and it is a delight.
As Russ mentioned, the belts service without having to have the engine out is a real plus.

I have a 1980 308 GTSI in excellent condition for over 10 years now. Lately I have been thinking of selling it because I don't drive it much anymore.

I paid $31,500 for it in 2008 and was hoping that the 308 would become the next Dino but prices haven't changed much in the last 5 years.
