So what else is missing?
At the risk of upsetting Dave by corrupting his own personal opinion of what constitutes a sports car... Wink (Don't worry Dave, I'm only pulling your leg!)

I was looking at some classic sports cars yesterday and it struck me the most obvious difference between cars such as the old E Types and other classic sports cars of that and previous eras compared to the more modern versions is the length of the bonnet or to you ex-colonials Wink the hood.

Those looooong bonnets/hoods looked just so very elegant and to my eyes at least, the modern versions just don't look right without it.

So do you guys agree and/or what else defines the change between the old days and cars of this modern generation of sports cars?

Agree about the long hood! I especially like the BMW Z8. Need chrome side rearview mirrors (modern era painted) and a stick shift (modern era, paddle shifters).
I do like the sound systems, fuel injection, build quality, fuel economy, and especially headlights (HID) and brakes in the modern cars.
