Selling a couple cap n ball revolvers & have been told by local gun dealers that this type of gun can be shipped directly to the buyer by UPS or USPS. And that the seller nor the buyer have to have a FFL. However UPS tells me that it has to go Next Day Air & that it has to go to an FFL. Has anyone had simular problems trying to ship C & B revolvers ?.

It is not a firearm under federal law and does not have to be shipped by or to an FFL. I've shipped several by UPS and have had no problems at all. Good luck!

Contacted UPS.COM got reply back that basically said the same thing, that a cap n ball revolver as long as it can't fire cartridges is not considered a handgun. Guess either my local UPS is either ignorant of UPS rules regarding antique firearms, or were just screwing with me. Either way the next time I go to my local UPS I will be sure to take the copy of the E-Mail from UPS and ENLIGHTEN THEM...
