BarebowThanks all. Yes I have been experimenting and found that the Hornady 240 jhp outta a sabot was slammin'..I did not know that those sabots were really just .44 magnum handgun bullets. now I buy em' by the 100 from widners..like 14.00 for 100 rounds..was watching a video and they guy was saying that a sabot bullet was really .45 ..thought that was weird ..the hornady .44 magnums perfectly matched the traditions sabots to a tee..same bullets exactly..I hope I am thinking right and these are ok to shoot outta sabots..

<eldeguello>Some .50-cal. sabots are made for use with .44 Magnum bullets, and some for use with .45 Colt bullets. It just depends on which sabots you buy.
