PuncherCleaning suggestions?
Last time I fired my .54 cal. Plains Rifle was the last week of October, '02. Shame on me!
I got it out yesterday and decoded to get it ready to do some shooting.
Question: If I want to fire just a coupla' shots, is there an EASY way to clean it without going to all the trouble of pulling the barrel? I don't mind pulling the barrel after a day of shooting, I just hate to have to do that for a few shots.
Thanks, fellas!

El DeguelloWell, you could TRY that Shooter's Choice BP GEL. It seems to be pretty good. Persopnally I just don't like to chance bore damage from ANY fouling that might be left. If you clean it every evening with one or two patches for several days, it'll sure tell you if anything's getting rusty inside!
