Both pellet powders (Pyrodex/777) have roughly the same strength. You save a cleaning patch or two with 777... also save on the sulfur smell because 777 has no sulfur. You should probably stick with Pyrodex pellets just because it's cheaper & just a tad easier to ignite than 777 pellets.
