If a fellow wanted to make his own ramrod out of a steel rod, where would he get the threaded tip ?

I've made several "range rods" using steel. First drill and tap the end of the rod 10x32 or 8x32. Next take and weld a crosspiece on the other end of the rod. Order a cleaning jag and a patch puller from either Track of the Wolf, Dixie Gun Works, Mountain States Muzzleloader etc. I have been able to find plastic bore guides at the local hardware store. I buy the plastic inserts used to attach casters to the bottoms of chairs.
