Manual Required for 54 cal
Gidday

I recently purchased a Cabelas 54 calibre muzzle loader from a mate but he had lost the manual.
Apparenly you can get a manual from Investarm in Italy but I have had no luck finding one.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me

Cheers.

More specifics on the rifle and I'll be glad to either type things up for you or give you web links or both.

Tom

Soon you will know what it's like to make a kill you can't always see from the smoke but you heard by the WHACK of the bullet strike.

As a starting point, I would like to point your attention to the following link. It's from Pedersoli but since these replica rifles are fairly similar, although from different manufacturers, this info can be used as a good source of initial information: <http://www.davide-pedersoli.com/default.aspx?item=supporto&lang=en>

In particular the load data from the second pdf file can be used as a good starting point. Finding the right load is always a bit of an trial and error approach. This data should help to point you in the right direction.

Next I would recommend the "black powder notebook" which can be found at <http://members.aye.net/~bspen/index.html>

Else, have a look at the "black powder" section of this forum, there is already quite a lot of information which could be helpful.

Good hunting
