I have gotten involved with instructing kids in the history of the American Revolution, in a State Park in my area. As part of the instruction, we are able to dress in period uniform. I am attempting to locate a fireable Brown Bess musket to use as part of the program. As we are all volunteers, I am not willing to sell my kids into slavery to pay for an original. Does anyone know of a source for a copy, that sells for less than $300.00? I don't care if it will hit anything, it just has to go "bang".
