Pardon my ignorance but i`ve wondered for a while what velocity muzzleloaders get?

Depending on barrel length, caliber and load, i have measured +1800fps but then the speed curve starts to fletten rapidly for BP.

with a 28" barrel I get in excess of 2100fps with Blackhorn 209 and I could get nearly 2,000 with triple 7. This with a .45 cal and 270gn? powerbelts.
