muzzleloader makes meat
Alittle bit of meat anyway, shot two grouse today with my 54cal lyman, both @ 30 yards. I bought this muzzleloader about 1 yr ago and worked up a pretty good load 430 grn. maxiball and 85grns. of pyrodex rs. This may be a start of something new [Big Grin] . Take care. Greg

Whew!!! That was a pretty marginal load for a grouse doen't ya think?

Heck, anyone knows that a .54 is way out there even as a squirrel rifle. It's a wonder you're still alive! [Smile] [Smile]

Good shootin'!

Ah, it's just part of the cleaning process, lad.

Last week I took a goose's head clean off with a load of BBs in close. Only drawback is that there was no more 'knot' at the end of his convenient handle anymore, and with the plentiful lubricant the damn thing kept slipping out of my hand. [Smile]

Hope you're well, Brent. Say 'hey' to MP for me.

Nice shooting. Nothing like shooting and cleaning at the same time.

Yea Brent, I even did it without backup, these alaskan grouse are considered dangerous game [Wink] anyway it was good practice and provided good meat and I had absolutly no meat damaged, one was hit at the base of the neck and the other was hit at the top of the back from the side and to make it all good I was actualy aiming at those spots [Razz] .
