I'm thinking of ordering one of his kits, either the York or the Lancaster Pennsylvania rifle. I'm looking for something a step up and more challenging than the color-by-number Lyman or CVA kits. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone that has built one of these. Quality, instructions, amount of work required and so forth. Pictures?

While I built my Tulle Fusil de Chasse from parts I got from Track of the Wolf http://www.trackofthewolf.com I've read nothing but good things about the Chambers kit http://www.flintlocks.com/ "Kit" may be a bit of overstatement though, these are more like a collection of parts and couple reference books. Other makers offer in-the-white guns or kits; http://www.northstarwest.com/ and http://www.longrifles-pr.com/ and http://www.avsia.com/tvm/ are but a few. Great fun, gunstocking; perhaps this winter I'll find the time and the money to build another.
