has anyone, other than me, used triple 7 and a wad in a 58 cal?

Yes, I have! I found that I HAD to use a Wonderwad with T7 and round balls in ALL calibers if I wanted to avoid blown patches. In addition, I ALWAYS use a Wonderwad with flat-based conicals in all calibers also, when using hunting power-level loads. It seems to make them shoot more accurately!!
