Matt Normanquestion about Savage 10 ML variants
I've stumbled upon a used Savage 10 ML (blued-synthetic) for $219 at a small gunshop. It's not beat up and the bore from what I can tell appears to be okay. I think it's an earlier version in that it does not have the AccuTrigger nor does it have the fiber optic type sights. I have one of the later versions in SS/laminated and really like it. For that kind of money it seems like a deal. Assuming it isn't broke...is there any significant differences with the earlier versions? The barrel markings as for powder are the same.

smokeeterit depends on how much earlier it is, it might be an ML 10 I , does it have modules and locking lugs on the bolt?. either way the earlier version is fine, it probably has a QLA on the muzzle ( recessed) the earlier blued version had smoother bores and excellent accuracy.
Definately a great price if it isn't beat up.

Matt NormanI bought it yesterday. It proved to be like new and came with the original tools and papers (still sealed). I have a later accutrigger version but for this kind of money it's a great spare. And it is indeed a Mk II version (says so on the barrel)
