I just took posession of a TC Buckeye. I believe it is a short barreled Renegade.
Does anyone make a set trigger for it?

I have never heard of a TC Buckeye , could you please send me a picture of it and any other info on it .
I would think if you want to change the trigger you also need to change the guard .
Thanks,
Mainer

Hairtrigger,
When did they make the Buckeye? I have never heard of it either and thought I knew a fair bit about T/C's products, having made barrels for them. Always nice to learn more.
I believe you can get what you need from Fox Ridge, T/C's custom shop. 1-800-243-4570. The salespeople probably won't know, so ask to speak with someone in the shop who can understand what you need and if they will sell it to you. They have the trigger assemblies and guards there for the custom Renegades, and all their side locks are(or were) interchangable on different models - I believe the double trigger conversion is a drop-in fit, though they might prefer to have you send it in and do it themselves. The only way to find out is to ask them.
Mainer1234, I'm over in Conway. Small world.

I bought it used, it has been fired.
I was told it is one of 250. Not sure how old it is
Fox Ridge's website does not mention a set trigger plus I wanted a single set to keep the same triggerguard.
Right now the trigger will move forward enough to touch the guard when the hammer is not cocked. I thought the trigger might be a set trigger in need of adjustment but now I don't think so

Ah, you did not specify a single set. There's no such animal for a T/C that I have ever heard of unless you make one for yourself. Their double set triggers are truly fantastic and I would recommend one without hesitation. The larger trigger guard won't get in the way (I have been hunting with mine for 30 years), nor will it adversely effect the look and lines of the rifle. The website won't help you, you need to actually talk to a staff gunsmith, that's why I posted the phone number. They are intelligent and creative people who might know of a source for what you want or someone who might be able to help you out.
