Learning about loading BP cartridges?
I am thinking about this .45-120, maybe early next year I will get one down from Pedersoli.

In the mean time, where can I learn about loading, cleaning, powders, bullets, paper patches, primers? I have a million questions to ask, then there are a lot of things I don't even know to ask about.

Are there any good books on the topic?
Internet sites?

Thanks for you helps gents.

Express, Steve Garbe and Mike Venturino have written extensively about black powder cartridge guns and are acknowledged authorities on the subject. Garbe's website, from which you can order his & Venturino's book is: http://www.blackpowderspg.com Try them, they're nice people to do business with.

Paul,

Thanks for the link. Also try the series by Matthews on the blackpowder cartridge rifle, mostly .45-70. Published by Wolfe. Great stuff.

Might be subscribing to another magazine... [Roll Eyes]
