patriot22Lyman Trade Rifle
I am considering buying a Lyman Trade Rifle, .50 or .54 not sure yet as to which caliber. Does anybody have any experiences with this particular rifle? Are they available for lefties?
Is there a better gun available in the same price range?
Thanks for your input.

muzzleI have found them to be good rifles for the money. They are well made and shoot very well. If you want to save money try to buy them in kit form. I'm not sure about finding it in a lefty. Check out their site.
Get a .54 instead of the .50 and be aware that the nipple is threaded metric instead of the normal 1/4 x 28 thread.

Swede44magI have a Lyman Great Plains Rifle in 54cal. I bought it as a kit, unless you like building kits I suggest that you buy one ready made. They are one of the better rifles on the market for the money. Check with midsouthshooterssupply.com for prices and avalibility.
