BulletmanYOU ARE CLOSE , It was me. I shot all day today, and sure enough, when the sun was in the position it is when I usually shoot, my groups went back to one hole, I noticed the sights got really sharp and clear when the sun was on them. And realized when it wasnt the sights are a little blurry. Its just my darn eyes are going bad up close.

Lewis50I've been dealing with an eye disease for some time and as a former IMHSA shooter was very frustrated with my inability to use open sights effectively. I switched to a peep on my long guns with an AO front sight and can shoot acceptable groups now, 1 1/2" to 2" at 100 yards. The peep sight has always been the poor man's scope and it functions well for us old blind farts, try one you may gain back your iron sight shooting ability.

SwanyYou can also try this, take a small piece of black electrical tape, fold it in half, cut a 1/8" hole in it, pull it back apart and place it over the lens of your glasses on your dominate eye and you will focus the sights like you did 25yrs ago. There is a swing away device that attaches to your frames. Can't remember the name of it, but it is advertised in Muzzle Blasts.
