I'll have a Martini please!
I don't know about you guys, but being an old fart, most things aren't quite as exciting as they used to be. My kids are grown and for the most part, out of the house. My darlin' bride and I are approaching 31 years of marriage, and although we are not to stage 4 of married sex (hallway sex, where you pass each other in the hallway and say, in passing, "screw you, screw you) thats also not quite what it was. However, I am a certifiable rifle looney, and the chance of having a rifle follow me home, especially one of which I've wanted for years, just turns my crank.

Here is a little BSA Martini that just set my ol' heart aflutter. Talk about being as happy as a pig in slop. Took it to the range and shot it today. It is chambered in 30-30. I Loaded up some 125 gr. ballistic tips over 33 gr. TAC. Shot a couple of 1/2 " groups at 35 yds and approx 1" at 50 with the aperture sight. Hope to bloody it next weekend with a fat doe.

A Martini in 30/30, now that is a good concept.

Looks like that little rifle was done up right.

Yes this is cool good find.

And By the way Hallway sex isn't all that bad count yourself lucky if you have'nt even gotten there yet, you might keep quit about the Martini though.

Anyway it's stage 5 that gets you were your not even having sex with your wife but you are getting screwed by her lawyer.

Butchloc,
I am in awe. Looks like I've got some catchin' up to do. What calibers are yours chambered in. The fourth one down has a stunning buttstock.

Bill/Oregon,
will do. I'm trying to get off Thursday for several days.

Butchloc,

I finally found my Martini in 22k Hornet. Do you have any insight on who has nice wood for these rifles?

I have one in .22 LR and it remains the most accurate .22 I have. A wonderful rifle and a joy to shoot.

You can also try Treebone carving. They have a decent stock pattern for the martini cadet actions. I have used it on one rifle, and will likely do so again. There is enough extra wood to allow some alteration, but not so much that the stock requires removal of a lot of wood to finish pretty much as-is.
