Leo L.1885
The 1885 I ordered from C. Sharps Arms finally arrived at Sportsmen's Supply in Campbell, CA. I went over to check it out and do the paperwork to commence the 10 day waiting period.
It's a beauty and I can hardly stand to wait 'til May 6!

concho10 day waiting period ? what for ? PA they make a phone call and hand you the rifle . Takes about 10 minutes at the longest !

onefunzr2Yeah, it's called the instant check system. Same goes for handguns. A call to the state police and they give the FFL a verification number. Wham, bang, thank you ma'am, you're on your way to enjoying that new firearm. Cost is $5. Mostly for the long-distance phone call.
That part of the left coast must still be in last century's time zone.

Leo L.It's California. What can I say?
The caliber of the rifle is 38-55. You can see it on the
www.csharpsarms.com website as the Model 1885 Highwall Sporting Rifle. Mine is the same except for the rear sight where I have the New Ideal Sporting Tang sight. It came with the standard wood but it looks better than I expected.
