bkmastrtc encore forearms
i just bought a .223 encore heavy bbl. i thought i was sure that the heavy bbl had a different forearm than the regular weight bbl. but i can't seem to find a heavy bbl forearm anywhere. Do the heavy bbl and light bbl use the same forearm? thanks,
matt

akers13foxThis is weird i was logging on to ask the same question. I have a camo composite stock with a standard barrel and wanting to pick up a heavy barrel but cant seem to find anything designated as a "heavy" forearm in camo.

GrumulkinCall Fox Ridge Outfitters an tell them what barrel you have and they will tell you what forearm to use. If your forearm fits without excessive gap around the barrel it's the right one.
I believe the forearms for the heavy and light barrels are different. I also have a 223 heavy barrel for my Encore in Realtree Hardwoods camo so they definitely have a camo version for your barrel.

DennisFIf all else fails, you can wrap 80 grit sand paper around a 1" dowel rod and use that to rout out the barrel channel in the fore end. I have done this several times on my Contenders and Encores without any problems.
